Heavenly Father, in this month of January, I ask for a fresh transformation of my heart and mind. Renew me daily by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and help me to no longer conform to the patterns of this world but to be transformed into Your image. Let my spiritual life reflect Your character more deeply.
When he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers to sing to the Lord and praise Him in their holy [priestly] garments as they went out before the army, saying, Give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!
This could be referred to as the state or condition of a person’s spiritual life, character, and inner being. Or shaped by your relationship with God, your moral character, and the way you live according to God’s word.
It could be considered a great puzzle how this close friend and confidante of David could turn a traitor. However, let’s walk through God’s Word for some enlightenment.
